Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the SafeStep Navigator website, waitlist, beta, and related services. By submitting a form or using the beta, you agree to them.

The beta

The beta is a pre-release product for evaluation. Features may change or fail without notice. Navigation, hazard alerts, and safety scores are decision-support — never a substitute for your own judgement, the law, or the instructions of authorities. Stay aware of the street around you.

Points and rewards

• Points have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred.
• Rewards come from partners and follow their own terms and availability.
• Spoofing GPS, automating accounts, or fabricating hazard reports forfeits every point and ends your place in the programme.

Hazard reports

By reporting a hazard you grant SafeStep Navigator a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, verify, aggregate, and share the report with cities and other people who need it. Do not file a report you know is false. Reports that name other people without cause may be removed.

Acceptable use

• No automated submissions, scraping, or attempts to bypass rate limits.
• No attempts to reach the administrative interface or another person's data.
• No use of the service to harass, defame, or endanger anyone.

Intellectual property

The active-safety engine is the subject of a pending international patent under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (WIPO PCT). Software, design, marks, and words remain the property of SafeStep Navigator. No licence is granted except as expressly stated.

Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, SafeStep Navigator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for injury arising from reliance on navigation or hazard information.
